Serving our Community

In partnership with the organizations that support the members of our Aquidneck Island community, "The Right Stuff" is a 24/7 donation drive hosted at our 294 Valley Road, Middletown office during the months of February through April. Each month, we will be collecting specific items to fulfill wishlists for the charities we support.  Please join us in making a difference in our community!

The Recipients

The Women’s Resource Center provides comprehensive support to victims and survivors of domestic violence, including safe shelter, transitional housing,  advocacy services, individual counseling and support groups.

    Special Requests and Urgent Needs

    • Body Wash & Skin Products 
    • Cleaning & Paper Products 
    • Wipes, Diapers & Pull-Ups, especially larger sizes 4, 5, 6 & 7 
    • Fuel, Uber & Lyft Gift Cards – safe transportation is a vital need for survivor families 
    • Pharmacy Gift Cards – it’s cold and flu season! 

    LIFESTYLE

    • Old smart phones, cell phone and tablets to be recycled to benefit the WRC’s mission and programs: drop boxes located at 42 Spring St, Suite 15, Newport and 624 Main St, Warren, RI 


    •  Gift Cards – always the perfect size, culturally supportive and empowers survivors with the gift of choice: Stop & Shop, Walmart, Target, Pharmacies, Fuel Stations, Uber/Lyft 


    • Bedding - TWIN bed sheets, pillowcases, mattress protectors, blankets, comforters and quilts 

    CLEANING & PAPER PRODUCTS

    • Laundry detergent / sheets (unscented) 
    • Dryer sheets / balls (unscented) 
    • Cleaning spray & wipes (Clorox/Lysol)
